Overview

An authorization is a temporary hold TryFit places on a shopper's payment card for the order amount. This hold ensures funds are available to charge for any items kept after the trial ends (similar to holds used by entertainment apps, hotels or grocery services).

How authorizations appear on a shopper's statement depends on their bank. Typically, these holds are marked as "pending" transactions or appear without a posting date, indicating the charge hasn't been finalized yet.
