Overview

TryFit was built to utilize the latest APIs and features offered by Shopify, but there are a few limitations within the Shopify platform to be aware of. This guide will walk you through the two main limitations and how to handle them.

Store Eligibility

  1. Merchants must process payments with Shopify Payments, Adyen or Stripe (select merchants on Stripe, check with your account manager).

  2. Merchants must have a Shopify 2.0 theme.

Eligibility Breakdown

  1. Payment Processor requirement

Shopify requires that merchants must use the following payment processors in order to be eligible to use Try Before You Buy:

  • Shopify Payments

  • Adyen on Shopify

  • Stripe (only available to some merchants)

Please note that Try Before You Buy (TBYB) products cannot be purchased using accelerated checkout options like Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. TBYB purchases also do not support local payment methods including Klarna, mollie iDEAL, and Sofort.

To check your current payment processor, please follow these steps:

  • Click on Settings > Payments

  • Within the Payment Providers section, it should indicate your current provider.

If you're using a different payment processor, you'll need to switch to one of the approved payment processors listed above.

2. Shopify 2.0 Theme

To utilize our TryFit Button alongside the TBYB experience for customers on your store, your template must be using a Shopify 2.0 theme. If you're unsure the type you have, or if you're on an older 1.0 theme please reach out to our team for assistance via the Live Chat button on the bottom right or via email: [email protected]
